Leah Nicole Photo
Today’s photographer for the vendor spotlight holds a special place in my heart. She is the talented woman who took my engagement and wedding pictures. Our relationship goes back farther than our wedding day. Leah knew me when I was young with braces and hadn’t yet met my husband. (Side note, my husband had braces when I met him in college, and I loved him anyway. So moral of the story, get braces, it’s what the cool kids do.) All joking aside, Leah is a sweet friend and an awesome mom. I admire her hard work and dedication to her family and her business. Today’s vendor spotlight is my friend, Leah Price, the photographer behind Leah Nicole Photo.
What’s your favorite food?
Just one? I love food, so it’s hard to choose a favorite, but I especially love anything with raspberries!
Other than your career, what do you love to do in your spare time?
I love spending time with my two beautiful kiddos, Landon and Savannah. I also enjoy getting outside to explore, especially when my kayak is involved. On a free Saturday you might find me at the lake, or downtown antiquing or shopping at the local farmers market.
What’s something cool about you that a lot of people don’t know?
My sister and I have the same birthday even though we are three years apart! She is truly my best friend and we both love to look back at photos of our birthdays through the years.
How would you describe what you do? (not just your career title)
I like to think of myself as a storyteller, not just a photographer. I know that one of my favorite things to do is look through old photos of my parents and grandparents, and try to piece together the history of our family. I hope that someday my photos will tell love stories for generations to come.
Why do you love what you do (your business)?
There are very few things that we get to keep throughout our entire lives. And of those things, few have as much value as a photo that can take us back to a particular moment in time. I LOVE knowing that with a click of my shutter, I can help someone evoke a memory that they cherish.
What was your favorite photo from this past year? And why?
The following photo is (one of) my favorites from this year because it is a true reflection of the couple. Jada and Micah love being outdoors and they suggested throwing their shoes off and getting in the creek! It makes me so happy when a bride and groom are relaxed like this. Also, the rewards of being adventurous are obvious! Photos like this one are priceless.
These are a few more of Leah’s favorite photos from the 2016 wedding season.
