I am excited to start a new blog series looking back on the sweet couples and memorable weddings from our 2016 wedding season. We had the privilege of working a wedding at the Allandale Mansion. It is a gorgeous venue, located in Kingsport, TN. If you are interested to learn more about this venue, click here for a blog I wrote on Allandale.
This summer wedding held a few ‘firsts’ for me. This was the first “international” wedding I coordinated. The groom was in the military serving in Honduras and the bride was teaching in South Korea. They were in two different time zones and I was in a third. It took detailed scheduling and a lot of flexibility to plan this “winter wonderland” themed wedding. This was also the first wedding I worked with my dear friend ,Michelle, from Michelle Lea Photographie. She is the talented photographer who took all the pictures in this blog post.
Lars and Jenie were married on July 16, 2016 in Kingsport, Tennessee at Allandale Mansion. Allandale is a unique and stately wedding venue in East Tennessee. The venue has a certain charm about it. The wedding party gets ready in the upstairs of the mansion in rooms that share a wall, but don’t worry it’s easy to keep the bride and groom from sneaking a peek at each other when you’ve got a diligent wedding coordinator and helpful bridesmaids and groomsmen.
After getting wedding ready, then it’s time to take lots and lots of photos with your friends.
These unique boutonnieres beamed with boldness and sentimentality. The bouts and the bouquets were paper flowers created by a talented artisan in South Korea and tied the navy and red wedding theme together beautifully.
These bridesmaids looked stunning in their floor length gowns with lace overlay. And don’t even get me started with this gorgeous bride and her impeccable cheek bones!
Their ceremony was short and sweet. East Tennessee summers have a way of causing ministers to talk quickly and get to the “I dos”. They said I do and joyfully walked back down the aisle! This is one of my favorite shots of the couple, no stress, pure joy!
And they lived HAPPILY EVER AFTER in Germany where he is currently serving in the military.
Here are a few more of my favorite pictures from their wedding day.
Michelle Lea Photographie has a wonderful eye for spying the most beautiful spots at a venue to make couples appear they are getting married at a botanical garden! These are two of my favorites.
Another amazing vendor I met from this wedding was the crew from Orange Leaf Media. They were professional and talented and I wanted to share this gorgeous wedding clip with you! Please watch to view their talent and to get a peak into the wonderful world of weddings!
